I’m going to be honest with you.. when I set out on my weight-loss journey I didn't care at all about being strong…
I just wanted to look good naked ;)
Can you relate?
But strength DOES correlate to Body Composition.
For many of my female clients… it's hard for them to think about aiming to get strong, right?
WRONG.
It wasn’t until in the recent years, that I made a decision to chase strength, and progression in my lifts, rather than calorie burn or minimal rest times.
The results?
BOOTY. SHOULDERS. BACK. LOL everything I wanted!
And that’s why I wanted to talk about this topic today, as you’re pretty deep into Transformation. I want you to take a step back and ask yourself what your goal is during your sessions.
Are you aiming to get your heart rate up and break a sweat?
OR…
Are you aiming to be strong and lift some heavy weights?
If you’ve been focusing on the calorie burn, throw out whatever device you use to measure them, and just FOCUS on yourself and the weights when you’re lifting.
I say this because if you’re after the booty (LOL) this is how you get it!
Stop and ask yourself…
Are you aiming for calorie burn in the weight room?
Have you gotten stronger over the last few weeks?
Have you truly pushed yourself to the point of discomfort?
