“I don’t have the budget right now” 😥




This is one of the most common objections that stops people from achieving their fitness goals.

The truth is, we always have a budget for what’s our #1 priority.

That’s why people always are upgrading their cars and travelling.


Why?

Because they value the car or vacation more than their body.

However…

If your doctor told you that you need a surgery done tonight and you don’t have the money…

I guarantee the car would be sold immediately.

This is an extreme example.


The point is, you will never have a budget for fitness until it becomes your #1 priority.

If it’s not your priority, no problem at all.

Simply accept the fact that you won’t likely see results.

🔑We get results in what we absolutely must have.

Not on what would be nice to have.

I decided that I needed some help getting rid of my excess weight. I had actually gone to see a plastic surgeon, in the documents, it states not to try and lose weight before having the surgery, in my case I was thinking of abdominoplasty and a reduction. After some thought and a conversation with Dawn, I knew that I could get my weight off without surgery. I also wanted to get wedding ready, I didn't want to be a size 16. I thought hey why not ask my sister/best friend if she wanted to join with me and she said yes. My goal is to be healthy holistically, I have done major work on myself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually but physically, I was not cutting it. Having a healthy body, mind, and spirit is my goal I want that to be my baseline as long as I am gifted with life. I wasn't active and if I was it was inconsistent. I did lose 20 lbs on my own since the onset of the pandemic by cutting the unhealthy eating habits. I dropped weight according to my home scale. 10 lbs. I feel my glutes, I feel my muscles all of them Sometimes I'm like it's a lot of information. Feels like I need to slow down to take it all in. What I love about it is the community, I love when Jenn yells around it gets me fired up, Rj is a blast. The gym is inclusive, it feels like a safe place to learn a new skill and I love that we support each other Usually, when people ask me about Fit Club, I tell them it's the best thing I have done for myself, it is something that I will not sacrifice for anyone, and even though it's hard I keep plugging through.

What do we do with veggies that are ready to expire?


What about when we really want a crunchy snack?


How can we get protein without always drinking a shake?


Today in Nary’s kitchen I'll be giving you Food tips from the Fit fam…

Do I have to toss my wilted vegetables?


No- vegetables can be rehydrated. Place them in a container with water and some ice too and for a few hours (either in the fridge or out of the fridge).


Craving crunchy hack-


cut up a bunch of raw veggies in advance and place them in a container in the fridge so when you feel like cheating you have a quick healthy source. Carrots can stay well and crisp when in a container with some water.


Egg hack for keeping protein more available


(access to the most protein) do not overcook them. I.e. scrambled eggs- leave them slightly wet So they appear still moist. Overcooking eggs is still okay if that’s the only way you like them but there is less protein that is bioavailable


Have a protein “stash”.


If you work in an office it can be easy to forget a meal at home and or if you travel and drive around.


Keep a collection of high protein foods in a drawer or in your console of ur vehicle (things like protein bars, Nary's bars and protein pre-made drinks)



Water


put a large container out on the counter with mint leaves and some other kind of thinly sliced vegetable like cucumbers etc for a fresh and natural flavor- add a lemon or lime too.


Refresh daily with a ton of ice
